On the first night of October, the Panthers of Chatham traveled to Warrior Park in Stillwater. Stillwater dominated after the first half and cruised to a 49-14 win.
The Warriors duo running backs CJ McNeil, and Caleb Dyer both ran all over the field the whole game. Combined they ran for 352 yards on 39 carries. McNeil led them with 243 rushing yards on 27 carries with three touchdowns. Dyer had 109 yards on 12 carries with two touchdowns. Dyer added a receiving touchdown as well.
The Panthers were led by quarterback Tyler Kneller who had 100 rushing yards and 110 passing yards.
Stillwater got things going quickly with a touchdown run on the opening drive. Then after a big 4th and goal stop on the 4-yard line, Stillwater marched all the way down the field to end the 1st quarter up 14-0.
To start the 2nd quarter’s scoring, Kneller took a run 68 yards to the house to make it 14-7. Chatham had multiple opportunities up to this point in the game to score. They couldn’t punch anything else through though. At the half, the score was 21-7 Stillwater.
From there on the Warriors took control of every aspect of the game. Jaxson Muller suffocated the Panthers quarterback and was in his face almost every play the rest of the game. The Warriors pulled out an impressive “W” 49-14 over the Panthers.
With the win, Stillwater moves to 3-1 in Class D and Chatham moves to 2-2.
